When installing a 3D force sensor, electric welding is strictly prohibited. If the measurement equipment requires electric welding, the sensor must be removed and separated from the device. Under no circumstances should the sensor remain connected to the equipment; before welding, ensure that the equipment is properly grounded. Introducing high currents through the sensor can lead to damage—burnout of internal circuits or electronic components. Always adhere precisely to the sensor's specified measurement range during operation, and never exceed the rated capacity under any circumstances. Additionally, the sensor's housing must be grounded independently to maintain a stable zero potential. When applying force to the sensor, ensure that loading occurs strictly along the intended direction, minimizing the risk of transverse forces or unintended bending moments and torques. For the force measurement platform, install high-quality vibration-damping devices to enhance performance. If the 3D force sensor is to be installed in a humid environment, choose a suitable sealing method or opt for a sensor with a higher protection rating. During installation, apply grease generously to both the wiring connections and the sensor's exterior surface, ensuring a thorough and reliable seal.
Three-dimensional force sensors typically feature a flanged cylindrical planar design, with both the top and bottom mounting structures consisting of flanged flat surfaces equipped with mounting threaded holes. During installation, the sensor is secured to the equipment by threading its bottom-mounted screw hole into place, while the opposite end of the sensor—also fitted with a threaded hole—is directly connected to the object being measured, enabling seamless installation and measurement. These 3D force sensors can be mounted either horizontally or vertically.
