To prevent the 3D force sensor from coming into contact with corrosive or overheated media: When measuring gas pressure, the pressure tapping point should be located at the top of the process pipeline, and the transmitter should also be installed in the upper section of the pipeline to allow any accumulated liquid to easily drain back into the process line. During wiring, ensure the cable is routed through a waterproof connector (optional accessory) or flexible conduit, and securely tighten the sealing nut to prevent rainwater or other moisture from seeping into the transmitter housing. In winter, if freezing conditions occur, outdoor-installed transmitters must be equipped with anti-freeze measures to avoid damage to the sensor caused by the expansion of ice inside the pressure-tapping port. Additionally, when measuring steam or other high-temperature media, it’s essential to install a condenser, such as a buffer tube (coil), to prevent the transmitter’s operating temperature from exceeding its specified limits.
Prevent debris from depositing inside the conduit; when measuring liquid pressure, the pressure tapping point should be located on the side of the process pipeline to avoid sediment buildup. Additionally, when measuring liquid pressure, the transmitter should be installed in a position that minimizes exposure to liquid surges (water hammer effects), preventing sensor damage due to overpressure. The impulse line should also be installed in an area with minimal temperature fluctuations.
