Nanjing Lihang Bionic Industry Research Institute Co., Ltd. was established in December 2017, dedicated to technological innovation and its industrialization, as well as nurturing innovative enterprises. The company leverages the ESRL Laboratory at the University of Southern Denmark and the Jiangsu Provincial Key Laboratory of Bionic Functional Materials at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. It has also established international collaborative partnerships with Professor GORB, an academician of the German Academy of Sciences, Professor Barth, an academician of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, and Professor Fu, an academician of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences. Currently, the company boasts 2 members of the national "Young Thousand Talents Program" and a team of 12 highly qualified R&D professionals, including doctors and masters. Its primary research focuses on bionic technologies and their applications, which have already been successfully integrated into industries such as aerospace, robotics, automation, and education/research.

Our company’s current R&D office is located on the 3rd floor of the Lishui Industrial New City Science and Innovation Center, serving as a temporary space with a floor area of approximately 750 square meters. We expect to move to the Yunhai Building R&D Complex by the end of November 2018, which will feature a larger facility spanning about 5,000 square meters.

Although six-axis force sensors can achieve six degrees of freedom in robotic systems, significantly enhancing the intelligence of robots, their adoption in the industrial market remains less than optimistic—particularly in China, where there aren’t many polishing robot products currently utilizing six-axis force sensors.
