Higher Education Research
In high-efficiency wind tunnel tests, the six-axis force sensor is directly installed between the scaled model of an aircraft, automobile, or building and its supporting rod, serving as the critical "aerodynamic balance." It can simultaneously and precisely measure all aerodynamic forces and moments acting on the test model—namely, drag, lift, and side forces in three directions, as well as rolling, pitching, and yawing moments. This innovative approach eliminates the cumbersome traditional methods that once required repeatedly repositioning the model or deploying multiple single-dimensional sensors. This integrated, real-time measurement capability significantly enhances experimental efficiency and data consistency, enabling researchers to swiftly obtain comprehensive aerodynamic performance maps and validate theoretical models with crucial insights. Moreover, it allows for the precise capture of a model's dynamic stability characteristics within complex flow fields, providing indispensable scientific evidence that supports the optimized design and safety assessment of aircraft, high-speed trains, and large-scale architectural structures.
